What type of rider are you?

We want to make sure that your experience is most enjoyable and we consider matching the right horse to the rider as success-critical.

Please read the info below to self-assess your riding level.

We will request your riding experience to complete your booking.
Making this information available to us will be important to have the right horse ready for you and to ensure that your ride will be the best ride ever :)

Riding Levels

Beginner

A rider with little or no experience.

A beginner rider has never rode a horse or only few times

Novice

A rider with limited experience who can mount and dismount unassisted, capable of applying basic aids, is comfortable and in control at the walk but not capable to perform posting trots. A rider with limited experience riding in open country

Intermediate

A rider who is confident, with a firm seat and in control in posting trots and two point canters.

A rider with lots of experience riding in open country alone or in a group

Strong Intermediate and Advanced

An experienced rider who is comfortable and confident to walk, trot, canter and gallop across all terrain.

An advanced rider would be riding fit and happy to undertake more intensive cross country riding.

This rider has an independent seat, soft hands, and a desire to handle a responsive and lively horse in open country
